Can a lawyer do my settlement instead of a settlement agent?

When do I need to appoint someone?

Do I have to attend settlement?

No. We attend for you. This usually means completing settlement on the electronic settlement platform rather than in person. We let you know by email and text as soon as it is done.

How long does a settlement take?

Can you act for both the buyer and the seller?

One representative can act for both sides if there is no conflict and both parties consent in writing. It is usually better for each party to be separately represented.
