What is the discharge of mortgage fee?

If there is a mortgage registered on the title of the property you are selling, you are responsible for discharging the mortgage at settlement before ownership is transferred to the buyer.

Landgate charge a registration fee to discharge your mortgage. You’ll see this fee listed on your settlement statement as we pay it on your behalf at settlement.
