FAQs

What is a disbursement?

A disbursement is any cost or fee that we incur on your behalf as part of the settlement process. Common disbursements include:

  • Landgate certificate of title or encumbrance searches;
  • Landgate fees for the registration of documents, such as the transfer, new mortgage or discharge of mortgage;
  • fees to notify the local authority, water corporation and Office of State Revenue of the change of ownership (known as an advice of sale); and
  • PEXA e-conveyancing fee.

We charge all disbursements to you at cost – in other words, we do not mark up the price of any searches we complete for you.

We do not charge you for postage, faxes or settlement attendance as these are included within our flat rate fee.
